In September 2021 Ramy started drawing to support his fight against PTSD. During heavy times of not being able to function, drawing was the only tool to express himself and to cope with the PTSD.
Ramy has been dealing with PTSD since 2011, and from September 2021 the symptoms developed to a new, extreme level.

In this project, Ramy Essam, with the project team will create a touring Bogeys exhibition and a case study. The goal is to gain and widely share knowledge on art as a tool in treating PTSD, as well as to create and globally showcase art that explains the experience of PTSD through art.
